Cindy started playing horn aged 7 after watching mum play the cornet. After joining the Armidale City Junior band, she progressed to the senior band & started on 2nd horn eventually making her way up to Solo Horn. In 2004 Cindy left Armadale for university in Coffs Harbour where she studied a Bachelor of Business in Hotel and Resort Management. Cindy moved to Brisbane at the beginning of 2007 and joined Brisbane Excelsior shortly after on 2nd Horn – she’s now been playing with XLCR for nearly 10 years! Cindy’s highlights include travelling to the British Open and China in with XLCR and winning the State Tenor Horn Championship in 2010.
