
Neale Connor, born in Brisbane, started playing the tuba at age 10 and instantly fell in love with the instrument. He started playing in brass bands at age 15 and has played with the South Brisbane Federal Band, Queensland Conservatorium Brass Band, and now Brisbane Excelsior Band.
Neale is studying a Bachelor of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium. He learns from Thomas Allely, QSO Principal Tuba and past Brisbane Excelsior BBb bass. As well as playing in brass bands, Neale has also played in many wind bands and orchestras and holds the Principal Tuba position in both the Queensland Youth Symphony and the Queensland Philharmonia Orchestra.
In his spare time, Neale also enjoys playing the bass trombone and is Principal Bass Trombone in the Brisbane Philharmonic Orchestra.
