The British Open has announced that they have invited Brisbane Excelsior, the 2008 champion band of Australia and New Zealand to compete at the 2009 British Open in Birmingham in September.
Extra dimension
A spokesperson for the British Open said: “The four times Australian, and two time New Zealand champions have been invited to participate alongside the greatest of British bands.”
Exceptional band
They added: “The inclusion of this exceptional band will bestow an extra dimension and diversity to the Open this year.”
